CoolSculpting Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for Orlando Patients
Is CoolSculpting Safe and Effective?
With its first FDA Clearance over 8 years ago, and worldwide experience with more than 7 million procedures accomplished, CoolSculpting works effectively and has been proven safe in the commercial marketplace as well as through 100’s of scientific publications and white papers. Most Americans have at least one body area with bulging fat they would like to reduce. The great news is that CoolSculpting now has eight areas that have FDA clearance as a non-surgical, non-invasive procedure with little or no down time. Patients get back to normal daily activities right away.
Who is a good candidate for the procedure?
CoolSculpting is ideal for people who are tired of not getting results from diet and exercise, seek a non-surgical approach (rather than body lift plastic surgery or liposuction procedure), to increase confidence in their body appearance. The best candidates for CoolSculpting are individuals who are between 5 and 30 pounds of their desired weight yet still have visible bulges of excess fat in specific areas.
How much does CoolSculpting cost?

How long does a single treatment take?
The most common procedures take 35-45 minutes of treatment time each. Many patients receive multiple areas of treatment on the same day, which may take 1.5 to 2 hours. In general, one must consider the size and type of applicators used and the number of body parts being treated. Many CoolSculpting providers have two (or more) CoolSculpting machines (Dual CoolSculpting) which can reduce your total treatment time in half.
Is CoolSculpting painful?
We belive in transparency. Although a vast majority of patients find CoolSculpting to not be painful or uncomfortable, a small number will experience some discomfort early in process or during the 2-minute massage portion after the treatment is complete. For those patients, a temporary tingling, stinging, cramping can occur or a short duration feeling of pin pricks. If you happen to be in the very small “uncomfortable” segment, a doctor can call-in a nerve pain medication (NOT a narcotic) to help minimize this type of nerve pain. For the majority of patients however, there is little discomfort at all and many even find the procedure relaxing, as our caring staff will keep you cozy, hydrated, snacked, and entertained with the big screen TV. Netflix and Chill.
What body parts can be treated with CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is designed to remove localized fat rather than reducing overall body fat or removing fat from a large area. The FDA has cleared the procedure for treating fat in the abdomen and waist, flanks (love handles) thighs, upper arms, bra line, and back as well as under the chin and around the jaw. If you’re considering CoolSculpting, an expert team can develop a treatment plan to meet your specific body-contouring goals.
Are the results of CoolSculpting permanent?
The process of freezing fat cells causes about 20 to 25 percent of the treated fat cells to die off (scientifically described as “apoptosis” or cell death) and are flushed out of your body over the next 2-4 months. This is a permanent loss of fat cells and they are not remade. However, the remaining fat cells can expand with added fat, so patients should be careful to maintain their weight in order to enjoy long-lasting results. However, the fat cells killed off by CoolSculpting are gone for good.
Does CoolSculpting treat loose skin or cellulite?
CoolSculpting only removes fat; it doesn’t tighten loose skin. In fact, the best candidates for CoolSculpting are individuals with good skin elasticity. Cellulite has to do with the connective tissue between the skin and the fat, and CoolSculpting does not treat cellulite.
How long does it take to see results?
Patients may start to notice visible improvement after a few weeks, and they will see full results after two to four months.
